Robot protective clothing is crucial equipment that ensures the stable operation of industrial robots and isolates them from external dust, oil, high temperatures, and corrosive media. Its inspection must adhere to standardized procedures, encompassing the entire process from arrival verification to daily use, to ensure the effective implementation of its protective functions.
Upon receiving the customized robot protective suit, the first step is to conduct a basic appearance inspection. Directly inspect the overall surface of the protective suit to confirm that there are no signs of damage, tearing, or localized wear. Check all connecting parts one by one, including zippers, seams, velcro, nylon buckles, and other components, to ensure that the zippers move smoothly without any jamming, the seams are not loose or loose threads, and the velcro is firmly bonded without any fuzzing or detachment. At the same time, verify the overall structure of the protective suit, confirming that all preset openings, access ports, and pipeline reservation positions match the corresponding robot model parameters, and there are no missing parts or positional deviations.
After completing the appearance verification, the installation and adaptation inspection phase begins. Follow the standardized steps to fully don the robot protective suit onto the robot body, adjust the overall position, and confirm that the protective suit fits perfectly onto the surface of the body without any large areas of wrinkles, distortions, or misalignments. For the drawstring structure at the lower hem of the main body and the upper opening of the base, adjust the tightness according to the actual base position of the robot, ensuring that it is neither too loose, causing large areas of shaking, nor too tight, imposing additional constraints on the body. Inspect all covered areas to confirm that the robot's joints, pipelines, and vulnerable parts are completely wrapped, with no omitted exposed areas.
After installation, conduct a no-load trial operation inspection. Adjust the on-site operation program of the robot to low-speed mode, manually start the program, and allow the robot to gradually complete the full trajectory action, covering all regular working postures and the maximum arm reach range. During the operation, observe the state of the robot's protective suit throughout the process, ensuring that each action of the robot is unimpeded and the protective suit does not experience any pulling, excessive local tension, or displacement. If any local distortion or pulling is observed during operation, directly adjust the tightness or fixed position of the corresponding part until the robot's full-range action is smooth and the robot's protective suit is not subjected to abnormal stress.
During daily use, regular inspections are also necessary. Before each operation, check the surface of the robot protective suit for any new scratches caused by sharp objects, inspect the stitching for any signs of loosening or cracking, clean the oil and dust adhering to the surface, and confirm that all connecting parts are in good condition. If any local wear is found, repair or replace it promptly to prevent minor issues from affecting the overall protective effect and ensure the safe operation of the robot under various working conditions.
